With our experience,
we can supply complete in-house mold and
machine spindle repair of major manufacturers
using hard chrome, electrodepositing a
layer
(.0001" to .070" or more) of chromium. Usually, the coating is
applied directly to ferrous substrates, like steel, although it can also
be applied to non-ferrous substrates. The thick chrome is deposited from
a hexavalent chromium plating bath. The chromium deposit is usually selected
to take advantage of its desirable properties:
- Hardness 72RC
- Wearability
- Corrosion resistance
- Lubricity
- Low coefficient of friction

Typical parts routinely
plated are:
- Plastic
Molds Extruder Screw, Spider spiral,
Die / Punch
- Valves - Ball, Butterfly,
Gate Valve Seats
- Pumps - Impellers,
casings, shaft and bushes
- Hydraulic
and Pneumatic cylinders - Piston rods
- Food
Machinery
- Textile parts - Thread rollers,
Thread guides
