With our experience, we can supply complete in-house mold and machine spindle repair of major manufacturers using hard chrome, electrodepositing a layer (.0001" to .070" or more) of chromium. Usually, the coating is applied directly to ferrous substrates, like steel, although it can also be applied to non-ferrous substrates. The thick chrome is deposited from a hexavalent chromium plating bath. The chromium deposit is usually selected to take advantage of its desirable properties:

• Hardness 72RC
• Wearability
• Corrosion resistance
• Lubricity
• Low coefficient of friction
