  • Is decorative chrome plating and nickel chrome plating the same thing?

    Yes, decorative chrome plating is sometimes called nickel-chrome plating because it involves electroplating nickel onto the object before plating the chrome. It sometimes also involves electroplating copper onto the object before the nickel.

  • What is flash chrome?

    Flash chrome plating adds a very thin layer of chromium. It generally consists of deposits with a thickness of 0.0002" to 0.0005". This thin layer of chromium allows for a hard-coated finish on surfaces with close tolerances.
